Day twenty-four: ten minutes with her own voice
On 29 July there was telephone contact with Trudy: a good ten minutes, within the applicable arrangements. She sounded sharp and calm, and her wish was repeated in her own words: she wants to go home.

Telephone contact
On 29 July, her son spoke with Trudy by telephone, within the applicable contact arrangements. The call lasted a good ten minutes — the first contact since the call attempt of 28 July, when it was communicated that she was already asleep.
His observations during this call:
- She sounded sharp and present, followed the conversation with ease, and was calmer than in earlier calls since 6 July.
- Her wish was the same as on every day before and was stated once again in her own words: she wants to return to her own home.
- She expressly asked that everything possible continue to be done to bring that return about. She was promised it would be.
The call ended warmly.
This observation is consistent with that of the two regular caregivers who visited her on 27 July and are currently recording their findings in signed statements: alert, in good condition, and with a resolve that is growing rather than fading.
The goal of Trudy’s family and community is unchanged: her return home — at her own repeated and clearly expressed request. No names are mentioned in this account and no conclusions are drawn. This post will be updated as more becomes known.
